In typical Simon fashion, Rumors is a fast-paced comedy of errors. Guests arrive at a dinner party to find that their host upstairs has been shot in the earlobe and his wife is missing. Each arriving couple tries to hide this information from the next. As the night rolls on the cops show up, the story grows more outrageous, and the confusion grows to epic proportions until the evening's real truths are finally revealed.
